Day 1
UK – ICELAND
Overnight in Reykjavík.
Day 2
GOLDEN CIRCLE
From Reykjavík head to Fingvellir National Park, location of Iceland's ancient parliament. Continue through the regions farmlands to the thermal area of the great Geysir and Strokkur hot springs. Last on todays' itinerary a visit to Gullfoss, known as the 'Golden Waterfall'.
Day 3
SOUTH SHORE
Drive along the south shore, passing many places of beauty and interest, such as Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls. Stop at Skogar to admire it's beautiful collection of old turf farms and buildings, which ahve been lovingly restored to their original state. Onwards to Reynisfjara beach where you can view the extraordinary rock formations and thundering waves of the Atlantic Ocean. Dinner and overnight in the small village of Kirkjubaejarklaustur.
Day 4
SKAFTAFELL NATIONAL PARK & THE GLACIAL LAGOON
Skaftafell National Park is one of Iceland's most outstanding areas of natural beauty, dominated by the Vatnajokull glacier - Europe's largest ice cap. Continue to Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon where you can enjoy the breathtaking sight of floating icebergs on the amazing 180m deep lagoon. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 5
CANYON & THE BLUE LAGOON
Explore the magnificent Fjar0arargljufur canyon in the morning,then travel onwards to the impressive ice-wall of the Solheimajokull glacier, which has created Iceland's stunning southern coastline. Head to one of Iceland's most famous yourist spots - the Blue Lagoon, for a refreshing dip in the warm, mineral rich waters. Return to Reykjavik, where the evening is at your leisure.Overnight stay in Reykjavík.
