The journey begins by driving east through Iceland’s countryside to the first waterfall Urridafoss which has the largest volume of water of all waterfalls in Iceland. On the way towards the foot of Eyjafjallajökull glacier we pick up lunch and refreshments (optional) before visiting the clear and free falling waterfall of Seljalandsfoss where the sure-footed can walk behind the cascade to feel the refreshing spray and drizzle from this picturesque waterfall.

We drive to Gygjokull glacier where the mighty explosion occurred during the volcano in the spring of 2010 and big flooding changed the landscape forever. You will see a clear and mesmerising view of Mýrdalsjökull Iceland’s fourth largest glacier and home of the famous volcano Katla, and on a clear day a view over to Eyjafjallajökull - the volcano that caused all the troubles a few years ago!

Overall, this day tour offers memorable sights from the Atlantic Ocean and vast panoramic views of the ever-changing glacier flood plains which merge with the dramatic black beaches.

Duration: 9/10 Hours. Operation: Year Round. Departures: Wednesdays/Fridays/Sundays.
