This 8 day itinerary – 5 nights in Tasiilaq, East Greenland and a night in Reykjavik either side - offers you an intimate and authentic glimpse into the unique culture of this remote outpost of civilisation, scenically perched on an iceberg-filled fjord surrounded by snowy mountains.
The main highlight of the itinerary is a 6 to 8-hour dog sledge excursion followed by an overnight stay in a traditional hut. In addition, dinner will be taken with a local family each night. What’s more, Tasiilaq’s location just south of the Arctic Circle means there is an excellent chance of witnessing the Northern Lights while here, making this a truly transcendant Greenland holiday.

Fly London[Heathrow]/Keflavik Airport Transfer by the ‘Flybus’ ‘Plus’ Shuttle to your overnight accommodation in Reykjavik.
Day 2
REYKJAVIK – KULULUK – TASIILAQ
Air Iceland flight from Reykjavik Domestic Airport to Kulusuk. Further on by Air Greenland helicopter to Tasiilaq. Meet & Greet by a local representative.
Transfer to private house for information meeting.
City walk including visit to local supermarket.
Dinner with local family.
Day 3
TASIILAQ
Self-cooked breakfast. Day for optional excursions in Tasiilaq.
Dinner with local family.
Day 4
TASIILAQ - TINITEGILAAQ
Transfer to outskirts of Tasiilaq. Dog sledge ride to Tinitegilaaq. Duration approx 6-8 hours. Packed lunch will be enjoyed in route.
Afternoon at leisure in the small village.
Dinner with local family.
Day 5
TINITEGILAAQ - TASILLAQ
Self-cooked breakfast. Return to Tasillaq by dog sledge. Dinner with local family.
Day 6
TASIILAQ
Self-cooked breakfast and lunch. Day at Leisure in Tasiilaq.
Day 7
TASIILAQ – KULUSUK - REYKJAVIK
Self-cooked breakfast. Transfer to heliport for flight helicopter flight to Kulusuk. Early afternoon flight from Kulusuk to Reykjavik Domestic Airport.
Day 8
REYKJAVIK – KEFLAVIK/ICELAND - UK
Airport Transfer by the ‘Flbyus’ + (Plus) Shuttle back to Keflavik International Airport to connect with your return flight to London[Heathrow].
